The Men’s water polo team at the University of Edinburgh competes at the highest level of British University water polo. The team is coached by Ed Grundy and Bojan Donevski both of whom are commonwealth bronze medalist. On the team we have a number of players who compete internationally and in the highest division of the British Water Polo League. The Men’s 1st team have three polo sessions per week plus matches and swimming sessions. The Men’s firsts team is also part of the Team Performance Program at the University providing us with circuit and weights sessions along with physio support. The team play together regularly in both BUCS premier league matches and Scottish National League matches against Scottish club sides.
However, we cater for all abilities at Edinburgh and anyone who is a strong swimmer but does not have previous water polo experience can join EUSWPC. Our men’s 2nd team train twice per week and compete against other Scottish University teams. There is also the opportunity for talented 2nd team players to progress onto the 1sts squad.
